Admissions Information
I. Eligibility
A minimum of a high school completion, or equivalent.
(Those who haven’t completed secondary school may apply; a decision will be made after an interview. Those with mental impairments, or other conditions that would prevent taking classes may not apply)
II. Application documents
a) Applicants from the USA, Japan or Europe
download- (i) Application form (Download) Form must be typed, not handwritten.
- (ii) A copy of the information page of applicant’s passport
- (iii) 5 passport-sized photos.
- (iv) Certificate of graduation (in English) from final school attended
- (v) Transcripts (in English) from final school attended
- (vi) A certificate showing a balance of at least $10,000 in the account of the applicant’s parents or guardian. (The balance must remain over $10,000) for a period of at least one month).
- (vii) Certificate of enrollment for the applicant’s current school. Transcripts must also be submitted. If these are the same as the documents mentioned in (v) above, they may be submitted once.
- (viii) For applicants who have already graduated, you must submit a proof of employment.
b) Applicants from other countries (e.g. South East Asia)

- (ii) A copy of the information page of applicant’s passport
- (iii) 5 passport-sized photos.
- (iv) Certificate of graduation from final school attended (Notarized)
- (v) Transcripts from final school attended (Notarized)
- (vi) Birth Certificate (Notarized)
- (vii) A copy of the National ID card of the applicant’s mother, father or guardian.
- (viii) Certificate of applicant’s family register with each member disclosed (Notarized)
- (ix) Mother or father’s certificate of employment ( Must include total income and contact number for the employer) (notarized)
For self-employed persons, a notarized copy of the business license and proof of property is required. - (x) A certificate of remittance ($3500)
- (xi) For applicants currently attending school, submit notarized certificates of enrollment and transcripts.
- (xii) For applicants more than 6 months removed from graduation, a notarized letter of employment must be additionally submitted.
- ※All notarized documents must be in English or Korean
c) Applicants from China
download- (i) Application form (Download) Form must be typed, not handwritten
- (ii) A copy of the information page of applicant’s passport
- (iii) 4 passport-sized photos
- (iv) Original transcripts from final school attended
- (v) Original certificate of graduation from final school attended plus original certificate of graduation from the local Department of Education.
- (vi) A copy of the National ID card of the applicant’s mother, father or guardian
- (vii) Certificate of Family Register
• Must include all members of applicant’s family
• In the case of parental divorce: submit a notarized divorce decree (including parents’ names and dates of birth)
• In the case where one or both parents have passed away: submit the death certificate.
• If the certificate of family register is separate, submit a notarized copy showing relationship. - (viii) Mother or father’s certificate of employment ( Must include total income and contact number for the employer) (notarized)

d) Foreign applicants currently residing within Korea (not Korean citizens)

- (iii) 3 passport-sized photos
- (iv) Copy of Alien registration card (a copy of the front and the back, confirming the applicant’s status, and length of stay).
- (v) Notarized certificate of graduation from final school attended
- (vi) Notarized transcripts from final school attended
- (vii) A copy of the information page of your bank book.
- ※Group visa is not acceptable
e) Other
- (i) Applicants found to be submitting false or forged documents will have their application cancelled. If such facts are found after admission, the applicant will forfeit their application.
- (ii) Applicants should include emergency contacts on their application form. The university does not take any responsibility for incorrectly listed contact numbers.
- (iii) If verifying the applicant’s documents proves difficult, additional documents may be requested.
- (iv) Submitted documents will not be returned.
- (v) Anything not explicitly expressed here will be adjudged using the principles and guidelines of the university.

g) Application Process
- (i) Pai Chai University will review the application documents.
- (ii) After review, a letter of acceptance will be sent to successful applicants.
- (iii) Necessary documents are presented at the Korean Embassy for the application for a visa.
- (iv) After receiving the visa, if the applicant informs PCU of their flight details, we will arrange to pick-up the applicant.
- (v) Any other required documents will be requested.
