General Information
1. Visa
You can apply for study visa(D-4) at the Korean embassy after getting an admission from Korean language center of Pai Chai Univbersity.
a. Visitor Visa(C-3)
if you have a plan to study Korean for less than 10 weeks at the language center, you could apply for visitor visa(C-3), but you have to apply study visa(D-4) visa if you have a plan to study more than 3 months in Korea.
b. Study visa(D-4)
you have to have study visa(D-4) if you are willing study more than 3 months in Korea, and D-4 visa is extendable up to one and a half year if you are registered at the language center.
c. Visa Extension
Korean Language Students sojourn extension (D-4 : staying period 6 months)
1. The place to apply : KLI (Appenzeller Hall, Room 518)
2. Documents to prepare
- 1) Application form (get it at KLI)
- 2) Passport
- 3) Alien Registration Card
- 4) Certificate of Enrollment (Issued from KLI)
- 5) Transcript of Korean Language course (Issued from KLI)
- 6) Record of student attendance (Issued from KLI)
- 7) Receipt of payment for tuition fee (Issued from KLI)
- 8) Fee : 60,000 won
- 9) A bank statement showing a balance of over 3 million won (the statement issued within 30 days from application date is valid)
- 10) the proof of your residence (such as rent contract, utility bills in your name and etc.)
d. Alien Registration Card
Required Documents for making an ARC(Alien Registration Card)
- 1) Application form
- 2) Passport
- 3) Certificate of enrollment
- 4) 1 photo (3cm x 4cm, color photo with white background, normal expression, no sunglasses)
- 5) Application Fee 30,000 Won

4. Accommodation around campus
-You may rent a room or find home stay near the campus.
a. homestay
- you may experience Korean house culture and the homestay fee is USD 300 to 400 approx.. 2 meals a day is normally provided and some homestay mom does the laundry for you.
b. rent a room
- Rooms near campus are all furnished. You have to pay utilities by yourself and need to pay deposit about USD 3,000 when you make a contract.
