학과소개 (Introduction to the department)

이벤트축제경영학과는 대한민국 유일의 축제대학원인 배재대학교 관광축제한류대학원을 대표하는 학과로서 관광이벤트축제 산업의 핵심스타 등용문으로 불린다.

한국은 물론 세계 어느 대학에서도 찾아보기 힘들 만큼 체계적인 교육시스템이 유명세를 타면서 전국 각지에서 몰려든 다양한 직업군의 대학원생들로 구성되어 있는데, 이들 중에는 관광 및 축제담당 공무원, 지방의회 의원 및 정책연구원, 축제사무국의 축제전문경영인, 이벤트업계 전문가, 테마파크 이벤트감독, 언론인(방송국, 기자), 음악교사, 미술관 큐레이터, 음식업 CEO, 문화원 종사자 등으로 다양하다.

이벤트축제경영학과의 축제경영교육시스템은 세계축제협회 등으로부터 높은 평가를 받고 있다. 해외우수대학에서 학위를 취득한 관광이벤트 분야 국내 최고 수준의 교수진들로 구성된 바탕에 이론과 실무 능력을 골고루 배양할 수 있는 세계적 수준의 양질의 교육 시스템이 잘 갖춰져 있기 때문이다.

특히 해외축제전문가 초청 워크숍, 해외유명축제 현장 벤치마킹 등 교육의 무대를 해외로 넓힌 글로벌한 시스템은 축제경영과 관련한 거의 모든 분야의 전문가를 양성하기에 매우 적합한 커리큘럼을 지니고 있어, IFEA World(세계축제협회) Pinnacle Award 교육기관분야 7년 연속 금상을 수상하며 위상을 드높이고 있다.

이벤트축제경영학과 졸업생들은 관광·축제 전문가로서 최근 급증하고 있는 문화재단 및 축제재단, 지방자치단체 축제전문직 등에 취업하는 경우가 두드러지고 있으며, 그 외 이벤트기획사, 지방자치단체 산하 연구기관, 국내·외 관광공사 및 관련협회, 관광개발 및 컨설팅 전문직, 대학부설연구소, 언론사, 테마파크, 항공사, 컨벤션, 크루즈, 병원 서비스 코디네이터, 관광·레저 관련 벤처산업, 기타 유통 및 금융서비스 업체에서 자신들의 역량을 발휘할 수 있다.

The event festival management department is called the gateway to becoming a key star in the tourism event festival industry as it represents Baejae University's Graduate School of Tourism Festival, the only festival graduate school in Korea.

As the systematic education system is so popular in Korea and no other universities in the world, it consists of graduate students from various occupations, including tourism and festival officials, local council members and policy researchers, festival managers, event experts, theme park event directors, journalists, music teachers, art curators, and cultural workers.

The festival management education system of the event festival management department is highly evaluated by the World Festival Association and others. This is because it is well equipped with a world-class quality education system that can cultivate theory and practical skills evenly based on the nation's top faculty in tourism events that have obtained degrees from excellent universities abroad.

In particular, the global system, such as workshops inviting overseas festival experts and benchmarking overseas famous festivals, has a very suitable curriculum to cultivate experts in almost all fields related to festival management, winning the IFEA World Pinnacle Award for seven consecutive years.

Graduates of the department of event festival management are highly skilled in tourism, festival foundations, local government festival professions, domestic and foreign tourism corporations, tourism development and consulting, university research institutes, media, airline, convention, cruise and hospital service coordinators.
