학과소개
음악학과는 클래식 전공분야(피아노, 성악, 관현악, 작곡)와 실용 전공분야(건반, 작곡, 보컬, 기타, 베이스, 드럼, 재즈 관현악기)로 구성되어 있으며, 연주실기지도와 철저한 이론수업을 병행하여 전문 음악인을 육성함에 그 바탕을 두고 있다. 교내 음악회를 비롯하여 전공별 대외적인 음악회를 통하여 다양한 연주경험을 쌓으며 전문 음악인을 위한 음악교육을 지향하고 있다.
The Department of Music offers the master´s degree. The department consists Classical music major(piano, vocal, string, winds and brass, composition) and Applied music major(keyboards, composition, vocal, guitar, bass, drum, and Jazz string and winds, brass instruments). The department seeks to cultivate professional musicians by focusing on training in performance thorough theoretical instruction. The department offers the well-organized courses in music. Also the department strongly recommends the student to perform on-and off-campus concerts for the purpose of enriching their performing experiences and demonstrating their talents.

학과 교육목적/Purpose of Education
음악예술 전반에 대한 전문지식과 창의적인 실기교육을 바탕으로, 인간과 사회에 음악예술의 의미와 가치를 부여할 수 있는 전인적인 음악예술인을 양성한다.

학과내규/Bylaws of the department
- 선수과목은 학과에 개설된 교과목들 중 주임교수 및 지도교수와 사전협의하여 결정한다.
- 논문과 졸업발표는 교내교수로 구성된 심사위원 앞에서 공개적으로 실시한다.
- 그 외 사항들은 전공별 교수들의 심의를 통하여 결정한다.
- Prerequisite courses are decided through prior consultation with the head professor and advisor among the courses offered in the department.
- The thesis and graduation presentations are conducted by jury composed of faculty members.
- For other matters decisions are made through deliberation by professors.

- 졸업연주는 4학기부터 총 연주시간이 50분～60분이 소요되는 독주회로 실시하며, 졸업연주를 통과한 자에 한하여 4학기에도 심사를 받을 수 있다. 단, 논문을 대학원 영어와 종합시험을 통과한 이후에 심사 받아야 한다.

- Graduation performances will be held from 4th semester for 50 ~ 60minutes. Students who have passed the graduation performance will be allowed to take the examination in the 4th semester. However, the thesis should be reviewed after passing the English and comprehensive examination.
